About

A studio that publishes its own work.

Docksoft designs and builds software. Two of our own products are live on the App Store, and we bring the standard we hold them to into the work we do with other people.

The studio

Most software studios describe capabilities. We would rather point at products. Docksoft was founded in February 2026 based in Da Nang, Vietnam, and the clearest thing we can tell you about how we work is that you can download two things we made and judge them yourself.

That is a deliberate structure rather than a stage we are passing through. Building and operating our own products keeps us honest in a way that client work alone does not. We pay for our own mistakes, we see the support burden of every shortcut, and we cannot end an engagement and move on from a decision that turned out badly. It is the most reliable way we know to develop the judgement that client work then benefits from.

The name

Docksoft — a dock for software. Where things get built, loaded, and sent out. Not a metaphor for shipping product; a description of what we actually do. We build products under our own name, put them in market, and measure them against real users. The pelican on our mark carries the cargo because that is the job: get it from here to there, intact.

Why this look

Our site reads like instrumentation — live metrics, data labels, one confident accent. That is deliberate. We treat product work like engineering: measure what matters, ship what works, cut what does not.

The five principles carry Greek names because those words describe the ideas more precisely than English — sophrosyne is restraint practised as a virtue, and techne is craft as opposed to theory. Labels for things we already believed, not decoration added afterwards.

How we are set up

Small, senior, and deliberately not scaling for its own sake. The people who scope a project are the people who build it. There is no layer between the person you talk to and the person writing the code, which is the main structural reason small studios produce better software than their headcount suggests they should.

We take on a limited number of engagements at once. That is a real constraint rather than a positioning statement — it is what makes the standards on our approach page possible to actually hold.

What we do

Three practices, and the status of each.

Two are shipped. One is open for partners. We label them on every page they appear, because a studio that blurs that line is asking you to find out the difference at your own expense.
